If its like the later foxes then you should be able to put one in it. I constantly hear about guys putting 351s in them but the ones I alway see are the later foxes.

Ohhh....remeber that 86 (????) SVO project car that they slipped that 385 series big block in (I think it was 600 cubes IIRC), what an incredibly easy way to go insanely fast. I remeber a red big block gt floating around well into the 10s back when well, well into the 10s was something, then again I also remeber when a high 12 sec late model was something to be feared! Gawd I think I'm getting old.

For a stock car they are something to be feared, but once you get into drag racing with the big boys, 12's just arent gonna cut it. As you say 03/04 cobras can get 12's easy. A nice ls1 with a couple of mods and a bottle will be dipping well into 11's.

Yea, but when you put slicks on it to get enough traction to take you into 11's say goodbye to the irs.

This wasn't an SVO Mustang, it was an 86 GT done up with a Ford big block by SVO when SVO was still the stuff at Ford.

I'm looking at a 70 GS with a 455...it pushes 500 ft lbs under 3000 rpm. now that car needs 4:56's

I dunno why, but I really hate the FRPP moniker. Special Vehicle Operations sounded like serious stuff. Sorta like Lockheeds Skunkworks. I wish they would bring it back.
