1992 GT EFI VS CARB

I have a 1992 GT. I don't plan on taking it to the track. I just want a fast street car. Thinking about converting from EFI to Carb. Thoughts?

I would not go with a carb. I would check into an improved FI system if one exist for a reasonable cost.

What is your reasoning for that? I get mixed thoughts from everyone on this scenario.

There's a brain behind the FI that adjusts to pretty much everything as far as I understand it. I was somewhat anti FI for years but you really can't beat it. What are your plans for this car besides the Carb or fuel injection? Post a pic or 7 of your ride please.

EFI all the way. Carb is just a pain in the butt that you don't want to deal with.

Check with a dyno tuner in your area and get some opinions on which EFI systems they find are the easiest to work with. My survey has shown the Holley and FAST systems seem to be the more user friendly systems. You can get a smart system that will tune itself over time.
I put an Edelbrock Pro FLo 2 on my 408 over the winter, the base maps from Edelbrock worked OK, but it took a dyno tune to get it nailed. I love what you can do with a computer, but if the tune is not right it will suck big time. Ideally, get a system that also controls the spark timing, it makes it much easier to optimize.
