1987 mustang lx vert...radio searches non stop

bought me another fox body today...but first vert :-)

it's a 1987 lx model

im wondering if there is some trick to get radio to work?

wasn't working,so replaced fuse...now works,but just searches non stop,and no matter what buttons i press,it keeps searching
all balance, fade etc ***** work fine
also i notice nothing coming up on lcd small green panel

is radio posessed,or em i missing some way to get search to stop?

here a couple quick pics i took today after bringing home...only a 4,but has only 111,000km's and got for real nice price :-)

ps: vert motor doesn't work...any idea what they cost... and to put in?

The top motor isn't bad at all make sure all the lines are good and access is not bad they run anywhere from $150 to $300 depending on where you find them... The radio, not 100% sure but the are cheap to replace if you can find one in good shape but aftermarket is best bet.. looks good!! congrats on the Fox!!!

thanks for info...

i think radio is done..i checked connections ( nothing like freezing, middle of good old canadain night..holding flashlight...neighbours must think im crazy... lol)..all good

with the top,im guessing something to do with the line's...i hear motor running...does the system work on a pump system? (maybe empty?) where do i access line's...in trunk?

ps: love your rush logo...just saw them on trailer park boy's tonight :-)

Thanks! If the motor is running then most likely the fluid is all gone so there is a leak, No puddle?
Must be a fitting or the plastic lines have an issue.

Yeah Rush is the best..Period!

update:

well i noticed fuses where all out of wach...so i now have radio working (no fm,for some reason? but am works great...and yes played with antenna)

edit: dome light was simple matter of dimm switch being all way to right...why is simple fix, always the last thing i think of lol

ps: where the heck are the lines for the vert pump? do i need to remove the trunk lining towards backseat to get at them? (will have to wait till morning..frigging cold canadain nights lol)

Wierd on the electrical, the lines can be accessed through well liner behind the back seat or through the trunk. Right next to the pump is the relays they should be making noise if the pump is working.
