I was wondering which one is more liked? I want to no what to buy.

i like the later foxes better...look way better...IMO

 

Depends on which YOU like! Personally, I am biased to the 89s B), but I really do like the look of the four-eyed foxes. The 89 heads are better than the 86 heads also.

 

I Love the early saleens but i like the lx hatchback look.

the 89's also have mass air and if you plan on doing any kind of real work to it your gonna need it

If you'd said 89 LX 5.0L instead of the GT, I wouldn't have to think about it but I really dislike the aero-skirts and cheesy louvred tail lights of the late 80's GTs so 1986 it is! An 86 SVO looks even better!

I like the 86's front lights better. I think that it gives it a "different" look to them (that I like) but I have to say that I dont like that quater panel strip. I think thats very ugly and I dont know why ford ever put that into production. To me the ideal car would be a 89 w/ 86 headlights. I think that would be neat.

 

hum 86's look better, but the 89 came with slightly better heads if I am not mistaken ( I think the 86's had the e5 heads but may be wrong on the year they switched to e7's), and mass air. Alos, I know the 89's came with forged pistons from the factory, but the 86's may have as well and I just dont know it. Also, what year did they switch to the slightly stronger wc t5? Anyways, the 86 would look bettter, but the 89 should be at least a little more "refined"

Either one I get I wouldnt put draglights on becuase plainly put they dont look that nice. They are meant for drag racing because of the weight, but they dont look that good. Weld makes several other wheels that offer both weight savings, and a decent look.

 

Who cares what is more liked....are you going to buy a car that YOU like or buy a car that you want OTHERS to like?

I suggest buying what YOU like and who cares what others think

 

Mr. Doug, that is an awesome picture of a GT from that era. I did not know they could look that good. Of course I am a stinker for monochrome silver cars.

you have no idea how bad i want an '86 GT from that era. i'd especially love a twister II, and that color cobo is the best for any fox
