Hi,

This is just a item that I'm wondering about my car. Does anyone know the Ford name for the 1980 colour code 8w? It's been termed fluorescent brown (by polite observers), and it's also been said that riding in the car is like being stuck in a giant carrot cake, as the interior matches. So, I'm wondering what Ford called this colour. I'd also be curious to find out how many 80 Mustangs went out with that paint colour, although that information is probably harder to get than the name. I've only seen one, the one I have, in this colour, so I don't think it was too popular. Then again, there aren't that many '80 Mustangs cruising the road these days.

Color code 8W is Chamois Glow Metallic according to the Fox-body Recognition Guide.

Thanks for the info! The name fits actually. It's a very odd colour, but at least I don't have trouble finding it in parking lots!

Out of curiosity, why does it say "V6 member" when I post? I don't remember entering the engine type/displacement anywhere. Truth be told, the car has the 200 CID 52 gerbil power inline 6 (hehe).
