what's the hose sticking out of the cowl area there... Not from the top, but from the side there? Looks like a heater hose, but on the wrong side of the engine bay. Right through the shield there?

Nice engine!! I wonder why full TCP and then stop just short of coil overs?? The hose on the pass side has got to be for wiring on a trunk mounted battery. I did something very similar. The radiator support needed to be chopped to allow mounting for the Griffin radiator. That one I am sure of!! Ask me why I know. You should have seen the look on SWMBO face when I hacked mine 
If you don't then you have space issues with an electric fan. The idea for deep speaker mounts was not bad, either. I don't care for the interior and those lights gotta go!!
I would like to see rear suspension and handling gear. Wonder.. sway bar, panhard, or perhaps a watts link.

I was thinking it was pretty sweet until I saw the cutting and welding. Eek!!! I'm all for modernization but I draw the line when it isn't bolt on or if you can't put it back to original.
And I agree, I would like to see the rear suspension too.

Some of the Bosses and Shelby's that are being "returned" to "original" are good proof of this...
