I think I found the hidden deals you guys always talk about!
what do you think about the price for the flywheel & clutch? Go for it, or not?

Transmission

also, will that flywheel work with my starter that I have now? Right now, I have a C4, so I would guess it is probably 157 tooth as well, right?

yes, it will work with your C4 starter. The transmission pic shows a bellhousing attached.....have to ask the seller if thats included or if he just didnt remove it for the picture.

Ebay is a no-warranty world, as you know, so I cant say that this is a cant-miss or not. You just have to hope that the trans is in good order, or get someone to look at it that you trust. I would expect to pay ~400-500 for a GOOD used T-5, so perhaps that is a guide. Dont forget shipping costs.

But yes, those two items are what you need for a swap, plus the cable, clutch, PP, flywheel, etc, the other swap stuff. Youll also need a longer shifter handle to mount to that B&M shifter.

Dont forget the imbalance factor with the flywheel - has to match your engine.

Will this tranny work on my 68 w/ an '85 302 block?
I think I'll need a bellhousing to adapt it, and if so, how much does that cost?
thanks

transmission link
No, it will not work.....and the bellhousing doesn't seperate like the T5...when you unbolt it you open up into the internals of the transmission.

The 2nd link you posted would fit your engine but one from a modular engine will not.

85 motor should be 50oz imbalance stock. Thats the same as a 5.0 stock T-5 flywheel.

ok, thanks

I may decide to go with all new parts from moderndriveline.com. Does anyone have some feedback about them, or do ou think they would be a rip-off, or what?

AFAIK, they are ok. No direct experience, though.
