Haha I tried that one. The girlfriend didn't like the idea of 2 cars taking up the garage that aren't driven from Nov-April. IT's gonna be hard to let the car go but that fastback is awesome!!

Well it's a done deal just have to get the loan. Got a trade in value on my car today, and put 2K down on the fastback. Just have to pay off a couple of bills and then take out the loan for the remainder of the car and then it'll be mine. Hope to have it in my garage in a month. Hope the snow and salt are gone by then so I can get the car home. Anyways I can't believe im going to own a GT Fastback!!!

Update.....The car is now sitting in my garage. 2 straight days of rain washed the salt off of the WI. roads so I drove my 65 to Spring Green yesterday and drove my new car back!! Man-O-Man this car has ALOT more power than my other car did!!! Had a blast driving it, it's too bad that the weather was really dreary but makes me look forward that much more until summer. I will get a few pics posted soon but it REALLY needs to be washed and waxed, and that isn't going to happen until the temps rise up a bit. to at least 60 (hoping soon) The color on it is Sapphire Blue. Only offered on 66 Shelby's and T-Birds which makes this car that much more special!

It's a special paint car. Back in the day if you wanted your car painted a manufacturer color that wasn't offered you could get it. The paint code on the buck tag on the inner fendor shows a paint code of mix 22 which is Sapphire blue. So it's the original color which makes it a unique GT fastback.
