Years ago I installed the stock '67 side mirror and although it fits properly it is absolutely worthless to see with and constantly loosens with the vibrations. It will not even properly adjust to cover the sight line I want/need.

So the question is what can I replace it with? It will have to cover teh factory mounting area which is bigger than most alternatives I have seen.

Any ideas?

Another option:

Take these and have some billet base adapters cut to mount them to the stock "pad" area
