Stainlees Steel Brake Corps rear disk brake kit
#2
The kit itself is easily installed. I ran into 3 issues:
1. The driver's side axle was difficult to remove, and I had to rent a slide hammer.
2. The stock brake lines will need to be modified to work or replaced with custom. I bent my originals to make them work. Since installing the brakes I have removed the lines entirely to restore the underside of my car. I will go back with custom fabricated lines that will fit and look much better.
3. I had to modify my emergency brake as the cable was about 2" too short on each side. I lengthened the adjusting rod by welding on a few inches of threaded rod to clear this issue.
All relatively easy to fix and the brakes themselves took about 2 hours of work. I recommend replacing rear bearings/seals while you have the axles out.
