I am almost positive they are not, when I was changing my suspension to do the engine swap i had to have something heavier duty. I remember I had to nab some spindles off of a Torino.

The spindles are actually the same. I'm going with 67 spindles on my 68 because the 67's can accept drums or discs. On the 68 model year there are two different spindles, one for disc and one for drum brakes. So for 67 models spindles are spindles are spindles. I researched this myself and had several shops and parts distributors tell me this so I feel the information is accurate.

He's probably right, but for my 68 I know I definitely had to get new ones, but it turns out I ended ditching those for a disc brake unit spindles and all at a swap meet for $230.
