It's missing my favorite part, the red button on the top of the shift with "Go Baby Go!" on it

A fool and his money have been parted.....if anyone witnessed the Unique Bankruptcy auction you would have seen the IMMENSE amount of body filler packed into these cars to mold in the body kit. If this car was built but someone other than Unique it may be better but I doubt it as movie cars are often slapped together. If it was built by Unique then it is a rolling "pile"....I've got pictures of the cars with the work they did and I can't imagine anyone paying any real money for shoddy work like that!

Most rich people are not really car guys either. Rich people substitute cars for male body part sizes.

The parts on this one was not molded in like the UP ones. The parts are bonded to the car but still made to look bolt on. It is a movie car but all the surviving movie cars were reworked by CVS after interest in the kits began. The exhaust and fuel door were made functional and the fiberglass was replaced with new pieces and the cars repainted. If I remember correctly this was one of the cars featured in the MM article. The car was reworked again by another shop to get the paint and body to it's current condition after being shown over the years. Additional shelby items were added (shelby door sill badges and seatbelts for example) during the last reworking of the car.

Didn't they use 13 pounds of bondo per car?

Yes but that was Unique....the movie cars were not built by Unique....however there is STILL a lot of filler used to mold in that body kit....and if they used JUST bondo then it WILL come apart at some point in the future....and if the "bondo" type filler is any thickness more than 1/4" MAX then it will crack later and bondo or other types of similar filler is NOT water proof....it will absorb water if left open to the elements whether it be on the top or from underneath....that results in the metal underneath rusting and cause the filler to crack and lift off the metal panel.
