Question Question about fitment in my '66

Ok, here's the problem. I've got a C-6 just sitting around, and a C-4 sitting in the '66, but I need a trans for the '84 (I know the C-6 fits in it). What my question is, Will the C-6 fit in the '66, so I can use the C-4 w/ the 302 in the '84 and go drag race it (lighter weight, less internal mass to get moving, plus it has an aftermarket converter). Just asking before I go to the trouble of pulling it out just to find out the C-6 won't fit. Thanks, John

im not the expert, but i dont see why not... i always thought C6s were available in mustangs during the first gen. if not... theres nothing a little hammering wont do. if we can make an AOD fit a II, im sure the C6 will fit.

how much bigger is the C6 btw?
