Progress from the weekend
Progress, progress, progress.......
Busy weekend with mowing, bathing the dogs, spreading insect killer and working on the Mustang. I managed to finish my front floorpan and one of my quarter panel patches. The big patch they sent me is a piece of poo and won't line up so I've got to either buy another one or find a way to fit this one.
Anyway, on to the peekshures!!!
Fixed the rust hole in the rear fender

DURING

AFTER
no more Fred Flintstoning!

This thing doesn't fit worth a poo.

Other stuff I've done...
Left trunk floor

Loving the Pop-To-The-Top feature here. Too bad everyone doesn't use it.
Instead of making a whole new post for this, I will just update my old one and BINGO it's back at the top.
Started working on the car this morning at 9:00. I was bound and determined to get that rear quarter patch to fit and I'll be damned if I didn't.
I had to section it some at the rear to narrow it a little and also at the front to shorten it but it's in. The welds aren't pretty but the body filler will take care of that problem.
Rear section

Front section

Tacked up

Welded in

Primed

and the always tricky lip

That's looking really good. It's nice to see the transformation in one post. Looks like it is coming together.
For others' reference how much time do you have invested so far? Have you done this type of work before?

Time invested in the whole project? I bought the car in '93, put in the engine and transmission and didn't do much else until the complete teardown in 2000. Going on 4 years for the rebuild. :bang:

Looks good. Glad to see you were able to make the patch work. When shall I schedule your booth time?

I still have to put in the patch in the driver's door, finish the cowl, fill the rest of the dings and block it all out. Is November/December too cold in your booth?
