I know some people were asking me for updated pics after I put everything back together. Well, I finally got around to taking some today with both Mustangs. It was also the first time my wife has driven the 66 with the 6 speed. She was cruising around the parking lot like it was her own little test track. The video is taken from my wife in the 05 with me in the 66 takin off from a light and her takin off in chase

Sounds MPEG

Dude, Both cars are great. I'm jealous :worship:

Oh well, hopefully by the end of the year I'll have a two pony stable as well.
Of course I am looking to add an 02 or 03 rather than the 05 for now.

NICE!

Thanks for posting those here. I guess the 66 is still the faster of the two, huh?

I bet it's a big change for the wifey to drive that car now compared to it's humble 6 cyl beginings.

I was pretty impressed with her. She managed to take the vid and accelerate pretty well through 1st and 2nd in a 5 speed manual she drove for the first time.

We'll know just how much faster on March 25. I am part of a Private track rental of the drag strip at California Speedway. Usually when the NHRA does "Street Legal" drags there they get 600-700 cars (at IIRC $20 a car). Through this track rental there are only 100 slots and we pay $100 a car. Some guys got 30 runs last time.

I was all smiles (so was she) as she drove around the 66. Some guys that came over to check out our cars were saying "Dude, you let a chick drive that". I told him to F off before I smacked him. Some people just need to be thinned from the herd

Yes, Mr. Smarty Pants, there is a 65 grille and a 67 style hood on my 66

Serious questions about your wheel/tire combo:
- What backspacing are the wheels?
- Do you use the wheel adapters?
- Are your fenders rolled?

I'm getting new wheels in a few weeks and have not decided if I want to stay with a more classic looking 15x6 Cragar S/S, or empty the wallet on the 17x8 Torques like you have.
Thanks

17x8, 4.75 bs, no spacers, I did trim the fender lips
Here is a link to a great chart for figuring wheel size
