Picked up my 65 coupe tonight It's still setting in that I am an owner of a great piece of history in the automobile industry. I'm gonna have so much fun driving and tinkering with this car. Has such a nice sound. I just want a day off from work so I can drive till my hearts content B) Will post pics after I get a few taken and loaded on the cpu

Congratulations. I remember getting my first Mustang, a 68 Sunlit Gold Coupe.

Do yourself a favor and buy the Ford Service Manual for the car. They sell them in reprint through any of parts vendors for under $40. There's a ton of information in the manual, and is a necessary part of successful ownership.

Have fun with your new Mustang!

Thanks guys, I just pinched myself and I'm awake so I wasn't dreaming. But the guy who I bought the car from cave me a parts catalog and they have service manuals for sale in there so it's already on the things to order list.

As for the car specs: It has a 289 with auto tranny. Has the pony interior and has air conditioning, I need to get a compressor for that to work though. Just recently reapinted as of last year. A California car no rust ever the owner said. Overall I'm the 4th owner of the car. 86500 original miles......Will try to get some pics today or tomorrow.

Well i'm already putting money into the car I just ordered a full tire rim combo BF Goodrich tires on 15x7 mag. 500's. Should look good with the paint on the car. And ordered about 200 bucks worth of various odds and ends that need fixing or replacing. Gonna look good getting those 14" rims off her though.

Well I brought the car out for a little spin today and boy am I happy I ordered new tires. These things don't have much of anything left. I found out I need to bring it in for a tuneup also. After slowing to turn a corner when I give it a little gas the engine wants to die on me  Didn't do it all the time but enought to want to bring in in and get it looked at. Here are some pics. Don't know how to post more than 1 pic in a post so......

Front seats...Overall I love the car. It needs a few minor things but for the price I got a pretty darn good deal I think And hopefully I can learn how to fix things on this one so I can restore one myself someday
