Overhaulin's 70 Mustang
For the most part, I like it. Couple things stick out like sore thumbs though: the hood scoop being body color (rather than satin black), and those gi-normous wheels. They're simply too big! Foose did indeed chose a very elegant color; but I would've liked to see the black stripes fade out somewhere on the rear quarters. They seem a bit abrupt...
Overall, a decent episode. Didn't seem like Foose himself was very involved with this one though, did it? I suppose he had lots of hats to wear at the SEMA show.

I enjoyed it simply for the Mustang factor, I think the car looks pretty good, though I severely question the legality of removing all the side marker lights and being able to inspect and road drive it that way. The color though has really caught my eye. Since I have contemplated repainting my car pretty much every color but Red or the original Lime Gold over the last month, this looks like a nice alternative to at least keeping it in the green family but using a more modern and updated shade. I'm defintily feeling it the more I see it.

Wheels are too big, hood scoop should be black, and the stripes should fade out just in front of the rear wheelwell.

You're just on the wrong side of the box Dan, that's all. Besides, I didn't even believe it until he said it, you fluffed it up to much with all those extra useless words inbetween, half way through I was like yeah, whatever, but now I see it.

ROTFLMAO. Well, changing into Jar Jar binks is not an improvement. :jedi: Stay as you are you should, hmmmph, yes, yes, change for no one never, words flow strong with you.
I have to say that the color just isn't my taste, but the car looks good. I too am not thrilled with the wheels and stripes. I could even get over the wheel design and size if they were a different finish. The stripes don't jive well with the rear half of the car. Between the weird wheel well and bumper relationship, I just wish they weren't there. The body color scoop doesn't bother me.
All that said, it's nit-picking. It's a gorgeous car. As far as the legality of it, I don't see an inspection tech (at least the ones I'm used to here it Texas) doing anything but drooling on the dash as they slap a new sticker on it. Anyone else see the '04, 40th anniversary fender emblem they used on the custom stitched leather door panels?

I like the color and overall car but not the wheels. They are too big. I thought they looked like the new v6 wheels on paper and then when they where done I didn't like them

Wheels stink.
Wheels stink.
Does anyone else get the shivers when they show Foose's drawings? I always think, oh no, but the car ends up turning out ok.
If I was that Dad who thought his kid cost him his car, I'd have beat the kid down!
i think it turned out pretty good, i don't particularly like the stripes or the body colored scoop, and the wheels really are a bit big, 17's and 18's would have been better if not just 17's all around. i could probably live with the stripe if the scoop was black or no stripes at all would be better. it would have been much cleaner looking. but if chip built that car for me i wouldn't complain too loudly
Paul - just noticed that this is your first post! Welcome to TMS!
The wheel size was the only thing that I didn't really "like". 17's & 18's would've been more my taste. I question if those custom treads would be street-legal as well....
Anything else would just be nit-picking!

Put something a little more sedate on a dark car like that, and they won't overpower.. you'll be drawn to other things..
Lighter cars can pull it off easier because they're bright also... it's not such a difference... here, it's a big difference...
I think the design would be ok, if it were a gray rim... Mag500 or so kinda look.
