I need some input on where to put rear speakers. I got 6" pioneers in the front mounted in the kick pannels but I can not decide what to put in the back. I ordered a new rear package tray and I am going to put them in there but should i put 6 X 9 or the round 6" to match the front? If I were to put the round 6" should they go in the inner slot or the outer slot. Does any one have pics of thiers to help me decide. I want something that looks nice and that is not too extreme.

Thanks

Jeff

The best way to go would be whatever does not require you to cut anything. But If it is necessary to cut, your probably better off using the 6" for 2 reasons. It's easier to cut a circle than that oval and it will give you an even sound throughout your car. On the other hand though- the 6 x 9's do offer alittle more bass- which was actually a consideration for my own car to use as opposed to putting a sub in the trunk. If you do plan on later doing a sub, no need to bother changing the balance of your system. By the way- what head unit are you running and do you have it hidden or dash mounted?

I've got Pioneer 6x9's in the back and they worked out just fine. And if I'm not mistaken, the stock shape is in an oval. Hope that helps

Also get the best spl (sound pressure level) in your speakers. The higher spl the more effiecient the spekers will be. 90db or better.

Talking

I used 6 by 9 because they matched the holes in the metal. The fun part was cutting the package shelf. I used a dremel and a cutting wheel.
