Oily Engine Parts.

What is the best way to clean oily engine parts? I was planning on using Lacquer Thinner and maybe soak them then use some kind of degreaser. Does anyone have a good tips to make my life easier?

Easy off, if you don't have anodizing or paint on the parts or plan on redoing them
