Oh NOOOOOO!
I fell bad too but you know, you have to expect gut wrenching damage when you are racing your classic car, that just comes with the territory. I'm sure the insurance guys are having a worse day considering many of these will be totalled.
Maybe my vision is tainted these days but I still feel worse for the guy who is just cruising along, singing a song when suddenly [Sam Kinnison voice on] SOME YOUNG PUNK IN HIS CIVIC COMES BARRELING THRU A RED LIGHT DOING 60 IN A 25 AND T-BONES THE SNOT OUT OF YA........OH...........OOOOOHHHHHH. [Sam Kinnison voice off/]

That's sad. This is the reason why I won't do anything more risky than solo autocross. If you just race against the clock, in a parking lot filled with rubber cones, you don't have to worry about destroying your ride.
eeeee Some really great cars or at least shells in some of the cases. Some looked like dedicated racing cars at least. But a few those oh geez. What kind of race was this? A car show race or something else?
I agree the everyday joe has it much worse, these guys at least knew it was a huge possibility that this might happen. But nonetheless

i can pretty much guarantee that most of those cars will see the track again ASAP, after all they are race cars and most have probably been beat up pretty badly in their racing lifetimes so this really just water under the bridge for the majority of the cars, true there are a few that look beyond help but if the car has racing history from prior to this wreck even the most destroyed will probably be rebuilt
Wow, that's a pretty expensive accident. I've seen fenders rubbed, and people tagging the wall at vintage races, but nothing like that. Hopefully everyone was alright. It appears there easily could have been fatalities.

Yet another reason why I don't race my car. I hope everyone was alright!
