No Way

I had a weekend i will not forget. i left work friday about 3:30 so that i could go by the shop and take a few pics in progress. (i'm in the process of restoring 71' vert grabber blue with white top/interior... adding 429)
After a few pics i head home. The doctor from whom i purchased the car called my at 5am. He was on vacation in orlando and had received a call about a fire at the shop... he asked me to go find out what was damaged. Seeing that my car was in this shop, i made haste.

You know that feeling you get when you see blue lights ...
Well i got the same feeling seeing red ones

Pictures worth a thousand words

Friday pics

Awe dude, that is friggin hanus, I am sooooo sorry. What the hell happened? Do you know if any of it is salvagable yet? I'm sure they had insurance on the place. Why was the PO called? Is the car still in his name? Thanks god you have very recent pics of what was done for the insurance at least.

I think I'm going to be sick.

TDS, the shop was in Fairfield. MCM member Kevin Kennedy, who lost 8-10 1971-1973 convertibles in a house fire about 5 years ago lost 8 more in this fire.
