new poster - 68 fastback project.....
something i've always wondered about is how the 68 deluxe hood with the turn signal scallops would look with a 67 shelby scoop. only i would make the turn signal cutouts into air extractors of sorts. with the airflowing over the hood right there i would think it help to pull hot air out from under the hood, anyone else got any ideas on that? another thing was to maybe exagerate the front of the opening a little bit by "building it up" in the front so that it actually stands up a little in the front instead of being flat
buckfu,
I saw that you mentioned you were considering some Cragar rims. Here are a few pics I thought you may want to see. They are Cragar Street Stars, size 15 x 8. They look great from behind, and they didn't require any modification to the rear tubs. No problems w/ rubbing up front during turning, either. IMO, less is more w/ classic mustangs and rim sizes. I think anything bigger than 17 inches in diameter just starts looking goofy, esp. if the car isn't lowered. Good luck.

Hey everyone, just got back into town.....
Thanks to everybody for all the feedback - good, bad, ugly
I appreciate it. Thanks to 68Notch for the pics.
bullitman 68 - The best I can suggest is contacting Steve at billetbadges.com... here's his email: maxrsmart@***.net. Tell him Bart referred you to him.
Got a mirror question for ya'll..... I had a pair of loaner 69 sport side mirrors to see if we could mount them on the doors rather than the stock chrome ones...We couldn't see a way of doing it. It either hit the glass or was repositioned so far off that the driver would've been seeing nothing but the ground. Has anyone put these kind of mirrors on their car? if so, how? Otherwise we're just gonna get a set of repro stock ones.

The emblem looks fantastic! About how much are those costing you?
