Hi, I am getting ready to a buy a set of AMERICAN RACING TORQ THRUST II WHEELS for my 68 coupe. Does anyone know what size wheels would look good and a nice tire to go with them. I am not really in need of a racing tire just something that will look nice. Here is my car now. Thanks for any help.

I have the Dunlop GT Qualifer. I got them At Tirerack. They are really sweet, and have the White letter it you want them. I think they only come in a 15" though... but I doubt it. But, thats what size wheel I had anyway. I highly recomend them, and a 15" wheel too. I think anything larger that a 16" looks too big for the way the fender is cut.

Just my opinion, but I like the bf goodrich t/a. I like their blimp too (if anyone older remembers that commercial). I also think 15" rims would look the best on your car.

The Dunlops come with a 50,000 mile tread wear warrenty, plus..the tread pattern is pretty sweet for a $56 tire. The call is up to you, but I think the B/f Goodrich is over used IMO... No offense to the guys that think they are better.

Thank you very much for your advise. I will use it. I was planning on going with 17 inch wheels, but I have no idea what I am doing. I will go with the 15 now and check out the tires you suggested.
I will post a picture when I get them on. Thanks

wheels too big....Like I said..makes it look like a lowrider...without the riding low part. Trust Me....15"...16" max.

I went to order my TORQ THRUST II WHEELS today, but my car has 4 lugs and the wheels only come in 5 lugs. Has anyone else had this problem, if so what can you do?

You must have a 6 cylinder. You might want to check the internet & see what is available in 4 lug rims.

How? the guy I am dealing with said it would be way to hard and expensive.
Thats rally what I want do change to a 5 lug, I really want the torq thrust wheels.
But he has talked me into ordering a set of custom drilled billit ( hope thats how you spell it) wheels which are going to be around 1,200.00 just for the wheels.
