My Project 66 gets a bath - check out these floors
#1
After two years in the tear down process, my car finally went into the paint shop yesterday (for another coat of the original Silver Blue). Check out the link below for photos. Before hand, I pressure washed the undercarriage and the results were very interesting. I have seen high-dollar restorations do the red oxide floors, but I can't remember seeing an original car with floors like this.
I found this car on Ebay about two years ago in South Phoenix. It was dirty, and not running too well, but straight as an arrow, and the price was right. I have been taking it apart ever since. It has all the original glass, body panels, pony int., etc. I looked around for more than a year before buying this one.
I don't think I will be spending too much more time on the floors. I plan on driving this car regularly. I think most people who have restored these cars will get the picture as far as it's condition. (I probably went a bit too far on the rear end when I detailed it last summer). Having replaced floors and frame rails in my last car, I jumped on this car when I found it.
The car should be in the shop for the next month. I will keep you posted on how it's going. I can't wait to get it back and put it back together. The topics in this forum will be invaluable throughout that process, for that, I thank you all.

I am having difficulties with the cardomain site. If it doesn't work, does anyone have suggestions?
