Well to be honest, yes. I have been considering purchasing a 71 Mach 1, but I am afraid of how much it weighs, for example, in comparison to a 67 coupe. I know in 71 they changed the Mustang, made it bigger, but how much bigger? I am afraid that the car will not be able to get up and go as fast, you know what I mean?

Weight varies widely, depending on engine & other options. With the 428, it was possible to make a 69/70 car weigh more than a 302-powered 71-73, for instance...

Thank you for the great information. I guess what this tells me is if I do purchase this 71 Mach 1 I will definetly need to be getting rid of that 302 in it for a 351.
