Mustang Weight Q (65-68)

Does anyone have any first hand information on car weight after putting your own car on scales? Looking for mostly stock (no lightening or cf / fiberglass stuff). I've heard the 67-68s are heavier than the 65-66s. Any credence to that claim?

Love to hear what the actual weight of these cars are...

Thanks a million guys!

I just recently titled my car, and they listed my '65 at 2800lbs. Does that sound right? I was wondering the same thing so I could calculate the weight to hp ratio.

Since its a fastback that seems close, but might be a little light.

If you have a cotton gin near you, they might let you drive on their scale and get a reading. Some towns have public scales where you can weigh for a fee.

If I had access to a 65-66/66-67 in the Atlanta area, I have a shop that has a set of scales that we could use. I've heard 2800# so that sounds around the right weight and what I expected. The '67 Camaro Z-28 a friend is building is around the same weight so it seems the Pony cars of the same vintage should have approximately the same weight.
