to much paint

the console in my 69 has WAY to much paint on it from the po.what can i use to strip the paint off,without melting the plastic? i will try to put up some pics. soon.any advice will be of great help.thanks chris

If the work is that shoddy maybe the prep was too, have you tried to just power wash it.

try easy off oven cleaner
works for me let is set for an hour or 2 n it should fall off w/o harming the plastic
