Got my timing set fuel mixture set now it's idling high about 1200 in park I can back the idle pin all the way off and that is where it is at 1200 which is high for the 289 right? It has the auto lite 2100 carb on it.

 

That seems like a bit much, I would think it would almost stall with the pin all the way out. Was that carb rebuilt?

Edit: What kind of choke is on that thing? Might want to have a look at it.

 

The choke was sticking. I got that issue fixed and on to the next one lol
