I6 to v8 swap?

i am doing a v8 swap into my mustang, it was originally a I6 car, we are planning on leaving the suspension the same, to try and lower the nose of the car, but what will i have to change to accomodate the larger motor?

As far as I know not really much of anything as long is its a year that had whatever engine you are putting in. I would look at upgrading to v8 suspension to handle the weight. The suspension might look good sitting lower with the v8 in there but it won't handle the weight. Just my 2 cents. Have fun playing around with it

Motor and trans mounts. Possibly driveshaft. You should be able to make everything else work. Make sure those front drum brakes have been changed to disks.

disks are in the works, and stiffer suspension will be bought.

I'm finishing up this swap on my 65 hopefully this weekend. I put a 302 in mine. Everything I have been told from some mustang experts around me have said my suspension and rear end will be fine. They said just don't floor it. If you want to drive like that then upgrade it. Pretty much everything under the good has been replaced. I kept my c4 transmission. Also I am having a difficult time finding headers that will fit. Once the engine is dropped in you have about 3 inches between engine and firewall. You might just want to look into exhaust manifolds.
