How much for 289

Am looking to purchase a 289 motor. I have one that has never been rebuilt. It's been out of the car for a year and has approx 70000 original miles. My question is. How much should I pay for it? Thanks

2 barrell .. 300 bucks .. 4 barrell 450 bucks .. whether good or not as long as not busted or locked up ..k code ... priceless

i`m not sure when they changed bolt patterns but make sure you`re looking at what you want .. some have a 5 bolt bellhousing and some have 6 bolts ..

Ok thanks. Question. I have heard that a c4 trans from a six cylinder will work with a 289. Is this true? Other then needing to get a new bell housing
