After 6 months of body work and other associated crappola (Y'all know what I mean-> "while I have it apart I might as well..."), it's finally here!

These were taken in bright mid-day sunlight today. The flames will be more subtle in different light. In fact, as I was driving it home, I could hardly see them at all because of the angle I was viewing them from. They were sprayed with tons of pearl in the clear coat. If you get really close to it you can see flakes of all sorts of colors, but the overall impression is a silvery gunmetal like color.

I'm very happy with the shapes and the overall quality of the job. It's not perfect, but based on the steal that I got the job for (less than $2K for some bodywork, spraying the whole car, and the flame job) I'm thrilled.

I'll post more when I get all the chrome and stuff back on it, but here's how it sits right now.

I've been trying to get tips on what to look for. I'm going to have my 97GT redone. You're car looks great from the pictures, can't wait to see it all put back together. Some interior shots would be nice too. Thanks.

Beautiful car man. What type of seats are those? They really add to the interior.

What makes you say it's not perfect? When I get mine done, I'd like to know what to look for.

Well Blake, I have to admit that I had my doubts about flames, but I gotta say, the end result looks VERY VERY nice!!!

GREAT job!

They are some cheapies called "Axe seats" that I scored from ebay. The price was right, and most importantly, there are no ricey logos plastered all over it or anything like that.

Well, when you get really close to it, you can tell that it isn't a 6 thousand dollar paint job. There's a little orange peel, some fish eyes and other small imperfections. Alot of this will buff/wet sand out, and you pretty much get what you pay for. In this instance, despite those few imperfections, I think I got alot more than I paid for.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I'm so glad to have it back and shiny!

Looks great, Blake. I like the flames. They look a little more than ghost but aren't just SCREAMING either.

Heheh, gimmie a few days. I'm going out of town today-Saturday, so it'll probably be sometime next week before it's in one piece.

Cool, I'll be looking forward to it. Thanks for the info on the paint. I can't wait to get mine redone. I have a couple knicks and chips I want to get fixed when it gets painted. You know the ones.....other people don't really see them but they stick out like a sore thumb to you. Have a good weekend.
