Thumbs up

Does anyone know of a list of the 1/4 mile stats for classic Mustangs straight from the factory? I've tried searching the web but haven't been successful.

Right after I started the topic i found this site:

Link

After fixing my distributor, I took my 66 to the track last month and ran a best of 15.3 @ 93mph. Years ago (before I got the car), the 289 engine was rebuilt with 302 heads, Holley 650 and Tri-Y headers, but is running the stock intake and cam. I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish with that combination. It launches quick with the 4-spd and 3.25's, and gets to the 1000' mark pretty well but then runs out of steam.

I would like to pump it up a little this winter but don't want to lose the mostly stock looking engine. Was thinking cam and intake (painted engine color) should wake it up. Should I worry about roller lifters? Will the stock mechanical fuel pump be okay?
