Exhaust

I have a 68 mustang with a 289. It idles nicely and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for some good exhaust and what size pipe?
Thank you

My buddies 68 289 has flowmasters with 2.5" pipe. Dumped over the rear axle. Sounds good to me and him maybe I can get a vid of it sometime.

Classic combo! Also dont forget a connection in the intermediate area (X or H).

What exhaust produces the best engine note for a deep rumble and throaty growl sounds on the 289?

I love Borla and Roush, have Roush on mine. Flowmasters for me are overdone and not good sounding. But I wouldn't go over 2.5" pipes, 2 1/4-2.5" are good sizes.

I went with the magnaflow on mine and regret it. I am going to change over to flowmaster 44's this winter. I have flowmasters on my F150 and on my wifes new 2011 Edge and they sound great, nice rumble. The magna flow is not deep enough.
