I don't think they'd look that great coated... depends on the color. If you are thinking black, then I'd go with some other options.

Not for me :nono: I was fishing for ideas for your project. I will use the regular rubber hoses stripped off all markings. I am certainly not in the **** Concours Class, so the markings on the hoses just become a distraction.

I see. Actually I don't know where I saw them but someone does offer them in black. It's probably CoolFlex...

And there it is:

No, powder coating wouldnt be such a great idea, especially when you can get them elsewhere. But like I said, it isnt hard to use,and it looks great.

Very nice, are those NOS injectors lol. The bay looks awfully cluttered though, doesnt it. I can see why you want to clean things up a bit. I think the car looks great in general though anyways.

I'm pretty sure those are just -AN fittings for the fuel line.

Here's one to ponder... what can be done to clean up the heater motor area without ditching the heating system entirely?

you could build a sheetmetal "bulge" or something to cover it maybe even put a "shelf" on the top of it to mount an MSD box or something, to make it more than just a cover but something useful as well, the options are almost endless if you do something like that

Perhaps there is an aftermarket heater assembly that is more compact? Anything in the Hot Rod world? I already checked the kit car options and nothing seemed appropriate.

More fuel to the fire:

http://www.speedwaymotors.com/xq/asp/strBa.../qx/product.htm[QUOTE]

Wonder if you could smooth the firewall and then mount his under the dash using the plenum to connect the factory vents. I worry about getting the controls to interact properly, but those things generally sort themselves out. Then maybe have the heater hoses come out down by the floor/frame rail so they are lower and more out of site.

Vintage Air

The GEN II Mini is only 19"X9"X7.3" but is has A/C which isnt neccessary in your car or is it ....

Earls makes black covered hose or blue colored hose, they also make black AN fittings, and many other colors if you do EFI make sure the hose is compatible with the higher pressure... you can do hard line to an with an adapter up to 5/8" to 10 AN.... there are also alot nicer clamp systems now than just the strap clamps...

I know what I would put in there....so many options...... but you want to keep the 351w....

Isnt that the Mojave heater I think it has a defrost option...thats important

This reminds me....I need to check my Vintage Air Sure Fit system to see how the heater motor is situated on it and get all my holes taken care of prior to painting the engine bay again.
