Early ford engines

Hi Everyone
Newbie to this site. I have plans to build a ffr cobra and have found three motors and would like to know how to identify the years of the motors one is a 390 ci, one is a 351 ci and the last is a 289ci. Can some tell me where to look for serial numbers and how to find the year of the motors.

Thanks K

the 390 was in mustangs in 67-69. there are 2 351 enigines windsor and cleavland(you can tell a difference between them by how big the intake is. the cleaveland has a MUCH wider intake on it than the windor) in 69-73. and the 289 was from 64.5-68. correct me if i am wrong but all codes can be found on the back of the engine and the first number is the year. EXP 5=65 9=69........feel free to correct me if i am wrong anyone.
