There’s a good chance that this could very well be the most coveted Mustang ever.
Well, that’s if price is factored into the equation, which typically occurs when it comes to assessing the value of anything considered classic.
Currently, the title of the most expensive Mustang is held by a 1967 Shelby GT500 Super Snake that sold for a whopping $1.3 million in 2013. But this 1968 Shelby EXP 500 Green Hornet is sitting in the wings, and could fetch close to $2 million dollars, based on past interest.
The ’68 Shelby has already drawn a bid of $1.8 million at a Barrett-Jackson auction. But apparently the bid fell short of the reserve price, which led the owner to put it back in storage, according to a Bold Ride report.
The car’s value is credited to the fact that it’s one of the few prototype Mustangs still in existence, as well as being an early Shelby project vehicle.

If you're going to post an article about this car, you'd think you would include some of the things that make it so special. Like the fact that it had fuel injection and IRS.
