I strolled into a local classic Mustang emporium yesterday just for fun. Although it shall remain nameless, there is a famous house in Las Vegas of the same name where people also get screwed. Apparently the term is used so loosely these days that a cheap black paint job and gold stripes qualify as a Hertz "clone." This thing was a 6 cylinder 3 speed fastback with styled steel HUBCAPS no less that they were passing off as a Shelby facsimile. The topper was the "$18,000 firm" sticker on the window. Are there actually people gullible enough to believe that that is a valuable car?

Me thinks the chicken layed an egg on the ranch.

Anyone remeber all the plain silver 67's with black stripes being called Elewhor's like 2 months after the move came out? There is a buyer for every car I guess.

That doesn't sound like a clone or a clown. The word I'd use is "crap."
