Thumbs down

I was want to find out some rare options that were either dealer installed or factory installed. Does any one have production numbers for items like for 65-67 lighted corrals, trunk release, rear fin by the tail lights, etc....
This is the information I am trying to gather for my history web pages... any help with this sort of info would be helpful. :worship:

I know that a chrome tissue box holder was offered for I believe '64 and '65. It swung out from under the glove box.

Oh yeah... Some guy...I forget his name...started with an 'S'.... Sleepy?..no....ummm...Shlepy?...no, thats not it either. Oh well. He made some special edition cars out of fastbacks for a while. I think they were called PT Crui..NO!....GT somethings... I think some number followed whatever two letters they were. Maybe someone elese knows more about this than I do. They were pretty popular with collectors.

Hey!!!!! Post number 289!!

Small round warning lights around the radio area on 67-8's. They were for Door open, Low fuel and 2 more which I forget. T birds had them also.

and on that same car with the hood ornament i saw that chrome tissue box holder, which i also thought was pretty cool

A while back, I found an NOS clock for 64-66 Mustang & Falcon on Ebay. It attached to the speaker grill in the dash pad, and wired into the wiring harness. It stood up about 5 inches and was really cool. It ended up selling for $225, and for that amount, I would have rather have a rally-pak. I still keep my eye out for those, because I have never seen another one like it.

I believe in the 1969 manual it mentions a television as an option (perhaps dealer installed). Was that an option that actually made it into a Mustang as I have never seen one?

They call that "the convenience control panel"

Door ajar - low fuel - handbrake - seatbelts

Another rare 67-68 option is "fingertip speed control" I never saw that one.

Mine is a 289 C-4,.....but going back to other options...there was always the infamous luggage rack...Anyone see Speed last night? Barret-Jackson has a reality show about cars and buyers called "Life on the Block," and there was a 66 GT convertible with that lighted pony corral we are talking about....One more thing on that show...the '67 Sheby GT350S.....supercharged...very rare indeed!!
