Here’s a before and after barn-find story worth digging into.

Although, our friends at Mustang 360 have saved us a lot of time by detailing one of the most interesting transformations we’ve come across in recent months. They first started tracking the story of the a 1964 ½ Mustang back in 2011, when Tim Chesney, owner of TAJ Motorsports, was told about the Mustang, which was abandoned in an old airport hangar near Meridian, Mississippi.
Chesney knew he’d stumbled upon a nice find. But it wasn’t until he started researching the car’s vin number, with the paint code ‘C,’ that he realized it was from a special series of Mustangs known as Pace Car White replicas.

Fast forward some five years later, and it’s hard to believe it’s the same car. The Indy-racing inspired Mustang has undergone a total makeover, proving yet again that you never know what kind of gem is waiting to be found by a well-deserving fan.
