Anybody feel the earth move just now?
Sometimes it's more fun to build them than to keep them. Been there, done that. I'd consider a change too if it weren't for the fact that I don't have the time to do another car right now.
Good luck. Your car is worth the asking price.

I hear ya. Did some serious thinking this weekend too... there's a point when you've done everything with the car you can reasonably do, then you start "looking for trouble" and adding on stuff for the sake of adding on stuff and you need something to do. That car is done, and I mean that as a compliment and a testament to the quality you have achieved.
Years ago you had it up for sale I believe, bet you're glad you held onto it this long.

Josh, Mber & Jay - you guys have summed up most of my thoughts on this. I've done all I want to do (and more) with this car. It's been an ABSOLUTE BLAST. Part of me wants to hold on, but most of me is ready to move on... I did almost sell once before (4 years ago) while the car was still "sorting out". The "market" sure has come a long way the last few years, thanks in part to the Eleanor craze. I think the price is fair for today's market. I'm in no hurry to sell, and with all the $80k-$150k cars out there, this will surely attract someone looking for "top shelf stuff" that's already done and sorted out.
Frankly, I'm not sure if I want to do another car or not right now. As you know, the "kids" are approaching college fast, and I'm really thinking about losing some commitments and enjoying "life" for a few years. Heck, who knows what might come along as trade bait, or maybe I'll invest in that Saleen the wife has always wanted... Maybe even a business venture / career change - who knows?

I can't fault you for wanting to move on, but please don't move on to a Saleen. Maybe their offerings will improve with the new generation of Mustang, but I've got a friend that has thrown truck loads of money at their 99+ Saleen, and all they have to show for it is an empty wallet, and a broken car that is still slower than a new Cobra (when it runs, that is).
Either way, you'll still hang out here, right?

j/kSo......the winter project is called off? Or, is it going as planned in the event it doesn't move before the National in KC?
Can I get a ride in it before its gone? I promise not to touch anything.... :worship: I'll even wear clean underwear.
I've had similar thoughts lately... I'm hoping to scratch my itch with an interior color change and possibly new wheels. I've had this fastback longer than any other vintage Mustang I've owned (nearly 10 years), and I'd hate to let it go. Everything has its price though...
Well Bob,
As much as I'd like to see you hang on to that car, I completely understand where you're coming from. Sometimes it's about the journey and not the destination (Funny thing is people don't always se this till they've reached it).
You've done an ABSOLUTELY GREAT job on that car, and If I had the $$$$ I'd already bee on a plane
I only hope it's sale won't mean we'll be seeing less of you
Ken

Hey, I'm around - don't write me off yet..... Even had a couple emails asking if my website would be staying up or not! :nono:
Busy season at work, and I'm battling a little "enthusiasm deficiency" at the moment.
Haven't ever decided if I like the A-pillar gauges or not, and they would depend somewhat on if I did anything different with the dash itself. I may go ahead and install the E-brake, although I'm not looking forward to pulling half the interior to do it. I've considered both blower & EFI. Not sure about the ROI on either at this point though. I've even chatted with a contact at ProCharger about some prototype work...
Dan - I've actually owned this car TWICE as long as I've ever owned ANY other car!
