The 5.0 Cammer Fastback will be at the next Barrett Jackson. Should we play how high again?

And Bob you may want to cash in on the new term "Recreation" vs. "Clone" ... seems to mean a lot more $$$ on resale

Mmmmm... cammer!
I'll bid the $12.53 in my pocket plus my left ********...

Seriously, $162,000 for the cammer (it IS B-J, afterall), and $107,000 for that ugly Boyd thing... and a "NO SALE" at that price.

I'll say that the cammer will go for more than the Fast Forward fastback.

$160K

Edit: Whoah, looks like me and Cloney are on the same page with that prediction.

Have any of you watched the Barrett-Jackson Car Search show? One of the guys on the Atlanta team is the one that Boyd built that fugly Fastback for.

That thing is sweet. I'm guessing in the neighborhood of 150K.

I have no idea what it'll go for, but I'll predict $210k, since no one else has guessed that high. I wish it was an amount I could afford - I love that car!
Oh, and one thing I know for sure is that it'll go for significantly more than Boyd's Bastard.

I say the cammer will go for no less than $150K. That is a factory 1 off, and probably one of the most talked about I have seen.

Okay, got a another auction question for you about this one?

It's listed in B/J as a "Hertz Recreation" model--Uh, ... is this now the high dollar way to say clone?

Listing claims it is a modified GT350H.
It's not even close!

Hey Chuck, did you notice the reflection of Elanor in the rear quarter panel and the only veiwable Shelby clues on the black car are the stripes and hood. It's not really even close to being a Shelby.

Nope--missed the reflection.

It's like the auction craze is gettin' way out of hand.

Yes, Recreation is what B-J calls a Clone ... love the marketing. Too bad their recreations are not clones at all.

I may have to stop by the auction next month just to check out the Cammer. That thing is just so sweet! I drive past there everyday on my way to work. I've never been to one of their auctions but from looking at the vehicles there, while it makes for a nice car show, I don't think I would trust buying one. The Cammer we know the background on it but most others seem like they would have questionable value. If they are truly as advertised then they would be worth it but that is a really big "if".

Jay--thanks for the information.
I'll now be more aware of the "RECREATION" term.
