It is alive!
Well last night I was finally able to start my new stroker for the first time. No exhaust system, just the headers with the collectors bolted on.
All I can say is wow
It ran fine, oil pressure shot right up, no leaks from the cooling system or transmission colling lines. Waited until the thermostat opened, then set the ignition timing, and adjusted the idle. Nice lope to the idle, and the throttle response is incredible. A freind of mine who operates a shop near my house was there to help me. He has a chassis dyno and cannot wait for me to get it over to his hop to fine tune the advance curve and the carb.
It was a long time but, it was cetainly worth the wait. I can't wait to try it on the road.

For now
The car will return to the paint shop soon, I need the door window glass installed, and a few other things taken care of. When it returns I will have to install the interior and the remainder of the wiring. I still need to have an alignment done since all the front end parts are new. I plan to have the car towed to the exhaust shop, and plan to run 2 1/2 pipe using ball and socket flange connectors for ease of removal. No x pipe of h pipe for now, I will add that after I replace my C4 with an AOD. Still trying to decide on the mufflers to use, I really like the system on GT350Clone, but I lean towards rear exit on the tailpipes.

It is a 331, I bought it from Keith Craft. I had them run it on their dyno before shipping it to me. It posted 410 HP at 4800rpm, 430 # torque at 4100 rpm. Should work pretty good with my C4 and the 3.55 rear.

Here is a link to a photo of the engine. Not much has changed since this shot, other than it runs!

Yes a speed demon 650 vacuum secondary on an Air Gap intake. I liked the results of the MM&FF head test, they did very well with the AFR185 heads (I have those as well) they used the Air Gap, with a Speed Demon 650. Keith Craft installed a Comp Cam XE266HE cam in the motor. It has a nice little lope at idle, just what I wanted.
