69-70 Boss 302 real engine output

It was rated at 290 hp (gross not net HP) and is widely believed to be under rated. Does anyone know what the real HP was on this 302 Legend. I know in 70, they put in smaller valves but still kept the 290hp.

not sure what the actual would have been. the funny thing is the 70 with smaller valves MIGHT have actually made more HP, although i did not know that the smaller valves happened. My father has a 69 with a slightly different cam in the engine, running a smaller carb, and no emmisions equipment that created 352hp at 6900 rpm at the flywheel.
