.First off the hood.....I look at that and just wait for the kid with the skateboard to arrive and use that hood as a ramp....The scoop is ugly and out of place...shares nothing with the lines of the rest of the car.
The rest of the front end has too many lights and in all the wrong places....looks cluttered and out of place.
This particular car sits way to high...
TWO things make the car look good...the color combo and the wheels...That is IT in my opinion
.Ofcourse this is my personal opinion...I am sure others vary but I think that ruins the car...again in my opinion.
I'm sorry but I just don't see how anyone could think that looks better than this.....but to each their own

I'm with Paul. Eleanor II's color combo rocks, and so does the power the new ones are putting down, but the stock '67 Shelby looks much better the way they came.

So you guys think its ugly?

I have to third the vote for the color but the gaudy lights and body kit are terrible. If those were on a Civic everyone would be yelling "RICE!".

The car is called the King of the Road, not King of the trailer.

King of the Trailer. That's excellent, 68!

I agree I'm sick of the new Gone In 60 Seconds Eleanor hype. I would much rather watch the original movie. And if I was going to have Unique Performance build me a car I'd go with that GT350SR, much better looking than the movie cars.
oh by the way in case everyone doesn'y know already shelby is getting sued over eleanor, seems he forgot to ask Mrs. Halicki if it was ok that he use the name and "copy" the car, she actually owns the copyrights to both, isn't that just sweet, the old money grubber is finally getting himself sued after all that bs he went through trying to sue ford over the cobra name
so cool, another Eleanor pic here...that car is sooooooooo teh bomb! Best car EVAH in teh Best Movie EVAH. That car just rOcKs!!! Werd!

While I like and respect who Shelby "WAS" I do not care for who he became. Sure he did much for the image of the Mustang and fighting the Corvette wars of old, but essentialy with ever day that passes he is just about how to squeeze a few more bucks from his name, that is not what got him started and should not be how he ends it. He frickein sued the Eleahor folk till he got his share, now it's OK and endorsed, BAH!!!!Basically while all opinions are valid (no accounting for taste thoguh) a real (or at least the original styling) 67' Shelby is as about as perfect as any Stang of any year gets, it's basically the stick by which all others are measured, the Mona Lisa if you will. Eleahor is basically saying that while a great work of art indeed, the Mona Lisa can be made better by adding lipstick, rouge, eyebrows and perhaps a rachel hair-do, to bring her more in step with the times. That is not an improvement, more is very much less.
As a one of custom she has her place (as chips original design) but who the heck needs a mass produced one of custom? As for the movie, if I was the criminal mastermind who shelled out some serious bucks for someone to quote "steal me a 67' GT500" and what was delivered to me was a pretty heavily modified restomod (even with a real Shelby VIN) then they would likely be put in that car crusher with it simply for insulting me. If you want to call Ele a custom stang that's fine, place her next to the Ronster at a local show but she does not belong next to the other Shelby's even if she was twice as fast or powerful, not even when authorized by the man himself. heck, he'd probably sign a block of cheddar cheese too if there was a buck in it.
I like the GT350 the best and my favorite is the one that Marks uncle has.....its so sweet. The GT500 IMO reminds me of a truck in a way, cuz it is kinda high and not as "fat" as the new cars. I like the GT500, dont get me wrong.........but i just dont want one. The 350 is sweet though.

How true that is.....and Rick Kopec would list it in the Shelby American Registry as an original if there was a buck in it for him too!!!
