68 Mustang manual steering upgrade?

I'm looking for suggestions to improve steering ease on a manual steering 68 Mustang. I like the manual steering, but my wife drives the car on occasion and finds it tough to steer. I have added a roller bearing idler, all new spring perches, inner and outer tie rods, etc. anything else I can do to improve the ease? Will a 16:1 ratio new steering box help much?

16:1 is worse. Watch CJ Pony Parts for a sale and get a Borgeson kit. For better performance you would need power rack and pinion. Nothing else you can do really.
