68 Mustang GT Paint Advice Needed

Well, I have a 1968 GT Fastback that is Lime Gold.I have a 2005 GT Legendary Lime.
I'm getting the 68 painted now and the two paint codes are almost identical. They look nearly identical, just a hair different that I don't think most people will notice.
So I'm leaning towards painting the 68 with the 05 paint so that they can match the paint better and the two cars will match closer.
Any thoughts?

Also, I'm looking at having the C-Stripes painted instead of the decal.

Thoughts on that?

It's your car, so do what you like. I imagine it'll look great!

I say paint it the same '05 Legend paint code if you want them to match....Go for the c-stripe decal...that way you can always take it off if you want to...plus, i think it would be super hard to tape off a c-stripe...if you get the decal, at least you know it will be right.

I think the paint would probably be better with the 05 version and as far as the stripe, you can get reflective with the decal and I think that looks pretty cool vs paint which would be a bit tougher. Plus it would look a bit more authentic and a lot cheaper with the decal but as we all know, your gonna do what your gonna do. Good luck with it.

I guess I'm opting for the painted version and going with the '05 code. He's starting the tear down of the car now and should be ready for me when I get back from vacation on Sept 1. I can hardly wait. I was 3 months old the last time I saw the car with fresh paint!
