This is the emblem on the rear quarter panels, oh and they had the 351/4V engine, all were sportsroofs, and they were built in Dearborn. Nathan

No, they were built at DAP, not just sold there. I'm not sure where they were sold.

OK . . took a minute to dig up some information:
Twisters are Mach 1 specials sold around the Kansas City area. Only colors I could find are the "orange" color. I think, from what I read, this was the only colored offered.
Sidewinders are special mustangs, but not Mach 1's. They were sold in Iowa and Nebraska. Sidewinders could be ordered in grabber green and blue, calypso corral, yellow (maybe more) again, from what I've read. The stripes came in the trunk and the dealers had the option of installing them on the car.
Huh!
BTW - Here is the site . . http://people.freenet.de/pony/vier.htm Good Stuff!
Thanks for mentioning my site as the source, Evil Capri. There is lots of information about the Sidewider thanks to David Charlier.

as is some info on those cars in Don Hughmanicks website.
You'll find all available ARI information as well there.
