1965 carpet

I'm working on a 1965 mustang coupe. I'm changing the outside color from gold to silver blue. I've read that in 1965 siliver blue cars with standard interior came all blue or white with blue trim. There appears to be 2 shades of blue carpet availble for 1965. There is a dark blue and lighter "ford blue." My question is which blue carpet would have Ford used in this car?

Thanks,
Charles

it would have been a light blue color, kind of like a sky blue or baby blue color.

It's the lighter blue. I'm restoring a 65 coupe back to the original Silver Blue with standard blue interior. Glad to see you picked Silver Blue over the standard red or black most early Mustangs get painted when a color change is desiried!

I meet a guy at a car show with a Silver Blue convertible and a Pony interior. When I said I was glad to see that he restored it to the original color he said "This car was originally red". Made me feel good about the color. I can post pics of mine if you would like.
