Ford wrapped up a week celebrating its 50th birthday setting that Guinness World Record for most eCard signatures.

With an initial goal of 50,000 birthday wishes, the Ford pony car collected 55,720 birthday signatures over the week of April 14, according to a Ford Social media report.

Johanna Hessling, a records manager for Guinness World Records, issued the official statement.

“It is my honor to be the official Guinness World Records adjudicator for Ford Mustang 50th birthday and to award Ford the Guinness World Records title for the most contributions to an e-greeting card celebrating the momentous occasion,” said Hessling. “We wish Mustang many more milestone birthdays in the future.”

With one of the largest car fan bases and most aggressive social media teams on the planet, it seemed almost certain that Ford would break the record.  In addition, it appears that the mark was pretty much the Mustang’s to claim considering that the Guinness World Record’s website didn’t have a category yet for most eSignatures.

More than 160 countries visited the Ford website to participate in the campaign. According to Ford, the top 10 countries for birthday wishers were the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, Brazil, France, Mexico and Italy.
