Ford Drops Latest Video of Maniacal Sounding Shelby GT350R
The new Shelby GT350 and GT350R are tantalizingly close to hitting production. And the flat-plane crank V8 engine noise has been slowly but surely leaking out of the blue oval over the past few months. We’ve heard tidbits that sound absolutely amazing, but now, Ford has dropped the mother of all vocal videos of the new Shelby GT350R, and we’re just about ready to jump out of our skins.
In the video below, you hear a naturally aspirated, flat plane crank, 500+ horsepower, V8 with a manual transmission in the middle, and a super loud exhaust out back. It sounds absolutely mischevious. Hell, the GT350R sounds maniacal in its insanity.
Set to go on sale at the end of this year, and only cost around $47,000, the GT350 is going to be one of the biggest deals of the century. The new GT350R will take on the last generation Camaro Z/28 for the heavy weight track car of the year, and from what we can see, it looks like it’s going to easily take the crown. But until then, we’re just going to loop the video in the office and all start salivating. Take a listen.
